MINISTRY OF HEALTH RECALLS LIQUI FRUIT JUICE OWING TO POSSIBLE GLASS CONTAMINATION
The Ministry of Health and Wellness is recalling the 330ml liqui fruit red grape juice from the market following a suspected contamination of the products with small pieces of glass.
The ministry received a communication from the manufactures of these products, PEPSICO, sub Saharan Africa c/o Pioneer food group based in South Africa yesterday.
In an interview with Echo newspaper recently Food Safety Officer in the Ministry of Health Rosinah Pitenyane Modise said the manufactures are doing further investigations of the contamination.
On his part Chief Executive Officer of BOKOMO in Botswana Werner De Beer confidently confirmed that they haven’t distributed any of the said products prior the recall. This means the products on the market were unaffected.
