Mokolodi Nature Reserve, a project of Mokolodi Wildlife Foundation, which is registered as a Charitable Foundation for “Education through Conservation”, is only a quick 10 minutes’ drive, 16km away from the heart of Gaborone, Botswana’s capital city.

In challenging times like these, with the impact of Coronavirus (COVID-19), and restrictions on gatherings, Mokolodi offers the perfect escape from “Cabin Fever” in a safe environment. Our Self-catering chalets and camping facilities provide guests with the opportunity to escape the hustle and bustle of daily life and stress in a “WiFi -Free” zone, giving them the opportunity to “switch off” from the outside world for a day or two or more!

In addition to our strict health, hygiene and safety standards, we are undertaking additional stringent precautions within the Nature Reserve.

Our visitors are met with a hand sanitising station at our Reception and Tea Garden area, and all surfaces are constantly sanitised to prevent any cross contamination. All Safari Vehicles are sanitised before and after activities to ensure that our guests’ health is not compromised.

We are limiting numbers of groups who visit us in our pristine environment, to avoid any possible cross contamination, to join our Game drives (10 to 15 per 25 seater vehicle), Rhino or Giraffe Tracking (maximum 5), Bush Braai Lunches or Dinners (15 to 25), prepared by our caring, friendly professional staff, who have an excellent service record.

Mokolodi is essentially about Education through Conservation. We will continue to make each and every visitor aware of the fragility of our eco system.
