COVID TASK TEAM LAUDS DI NWELE DLADLENG CAMPAIGN
The coordinator of the COVID-19 task force team, Dr Kereng Masupu yesterday commended the alcohol industry’s efforts to curb the spread of Covid-19 through the ‘Di Nwele Dladleng’ campaign. The campaign that was launched last week is a collaborative effort between the Botswana Industry of Alcohol Association and The Ministry of Trade and Industry. It aims to encourage alcohol consumers to purchase their liquor and consume it at their respective homes, thus promoting social distancing. The alcohol industry was reopened last week Friday. Dr Masupu however urged the public to desist from hosting chill sessions at homes, stating that the virus has had a spillover and established itself in towns like Jwaneng. Dr Masupu has called on other sectors to also adopt strategies that will help the public stay virus free.
