Botswana on a 28-day Lockdown
Botswana is on a 28 day lock down which commenced on Thursday- April 2, midnight. This follows a declaration of a state of emergency by President Mokgweetsi Masisi on March 31 as well as the lock down announcement as a response to the spread of the coronavirus.
The latest developments come in the wake of 3 cases of confirmed coronavirus announced om March 30, which since risen to 6, and one death.
Masisi announced a state of public emergency and 28 days of extreme social distancing. The President has also summoned parliament to seek an extension of the state emergency to 28 days, from 21 days which
