BOTSWANA COUNCIL OF CHURCHES CALLS ON THE NATION TO TAKE AVAILABLE COVID-19 VACCINES
The Botswana Council of Churches, BCC has called on the public to take the astrazeneca COVID-19 jab, amid mixed views on the vaccine. The President of the BCC, Bishop Metlhayotlhe Beleme said there are a lot of conspiracy theories around the vaccine, but as Churches, they believe the vaccine is safe. He said this is because it has been approved by the World Health Organization. Beleme therefore called on the nation to take the vaccine. Government is currently rolling out the AstraZeneca vaccine to people aged between 55 and 65 provided they have underlying illnesses, while all those above 65 are all eligible.
